CKD is known as Chronic Kidney Disease. CKD is a progressive disease. Initial stage patient couldn’t understand. Disease signal understand through Urine test or eGFR test .CKD cover 4 Stages .CKD may occur due to Diabetes, Hypertension or Repeating UTI infection. Over 800 million people, or more than 10% of the global population, suffer from chronic kidney disease, a degenerative illness. The prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) varies by location, ranging from less than 1% to 13%. The most recent statistics from the Kidney Disease statistics Center Study of the International Society of Nephrology showed a prevalence of 17% (4). There are significant regional variations in the etiology of CKD in India. Kidneys are damaged and unable to filter blood as effectively if you have chronic kidney disease (CKD). Because the kidney damage occurs gradually over an extended period of time, the condition is referred to as "chronic." Waste products may accumulate in your body as a result of this harm. Other health issues can also be brought on by CKD.

Five stages of chronic kidney disease are -

  • Stage 1 with normal or high GFR (GFR > 90 mL/min)
  • Stage 2 Mild CKD (GFR = 60-89 mL/min)
  • Stage 3A Moderate CKD (GFR = 45-59 mL/min)
  • Stage 3B Moderate CKD (GFR = 30-44 mL/min)
  • Stage 4 Severe CKD (GFR = 15-29 mL/min)
  • Stage 5 End Stage CKD (GFR <15 mL/min)

 

Challenges face by CKD patient. 

CKD progression may be slow down but it cannot be stop. Different Health care professional different line of treatment. Patients as well as patients attend panic while facing CKD Challenges .In a practical situation it has seen most of the patients become afraid of this disease and try to switch different Doctor which leads to damage of Kidney faster. First Line of treatment for CKD patients to be focused on Blood Pressure Control and routine Checkup. In the interview we observe that the physician treatment strategy is completely different from DM Nephrologists treatment. The patient also confused what to do? Biggest Challenges weight loss, Poor Appetite ultimately shows multiple organ Damages.

Stress Management for CKD Patients.

It is the biggest Challenge  that  patients suffer .The drugs used by Health care professionals at private practices are very expensive .Patients have to take proper calories as per instructed by nutrition .Author observation and recommendation is that patients have to take a proper diet to avoid junk food.  Creatine never causes mortality. No one can Stop CKD progression but lifestyle modification, proper diet, Physician consultation is most important. One of the biggest phobia i.e Dialysis. The result shows during Dialysis patients lose their life due to cardiac arrest.

Suggestion

Patients should consult with Physicians as well as nephrologists .Try to avoid intake marketing drugs for prevention of kidney losses. In real life treatment it was found that Urine Tract Infection  maximum occurs at old age women.UTI patients  should maintain Hygiene and they must take plenty of water.UTI patient must consult with urologist .UTI causes Acute kidney disease further it leads to form a Chronic Kidney Disease  which is very painful.

Recommendation

CKD can be managed but not stopped. 

  • Patients try to take Medicine as per Healthcare professional suggestion.
  • Avoid Nephrotic Drugs.
  • Modification of lifestyle needed. 
  • Uric Acid, BP, and the Sugar Patient always focus on routine checks.
  • First Consultant with Consultant Physician then moves for other specialists.
  • Edema causes due to CKD, Liver Disease or due to Heart Failure. If these symptoms occur please go for consultation.
  • Anemia causes CKD please be ensure with routine check up and try to maintain Hemoglobin.
  • Vitamin D deficiency causes AKI which further process to CKD.
  • Water Retention, Edema ,is a common Problem for CKD patients
  • Pneumonia chances are high for CKD patients.
  • For removal of Extra fluid Doctor prescribed for Diuretic  which causes electrolytes imbalance
  • Mental, Physical, Financial losses occur with CKD patients but reality outcomes nothing.
